Stabozand

StabozandThe current market in Belgium has two imbalances – an excess of (remediated) soil and a requirement to minimise the use of primary raw materials for some aspects of construction projects.

The treatment of soil to improve its structural properties is a technique that dates back as far as ancient Egypt and the Romans. This technology has evolved and been perfected since then, having been applied on a major scale in Belgium in the sixties for motorway construction. Stabozand NV has moved this technology forward in the Belgium market, to turn (remediated) soil into a certified construction material (Stabozand), thus helping to reduce the requirement for primary raw materials.

Stabozand NV processes soils using an up-to-date mixing facility that is also used by concrete manufacturing plants. This enables full control to be maintained from the start of the production process to the resulting certified end-product.
